About Harold

We have a property management company. We showed up to a property on Thursday, August 2nd.where the tenants had been evicted. They took all of their small dogs, and left what appears to be a lab/shepherd mix with a pan of food and trash. The history of this dog is that he was part of a prison program which paired parolees with companion animals. The man whom he was paired with approximately five years ago, was killed two years ago. The family kept his dog, but when they moved, they left him behind. We are looking for someone to foster or adopt. He is very sweet and loving. He just wants to cuddle or sit next to you. I have named him Harold. He is safe. I gave him a bath and took him to the vet where he was given vaccinations. He is in temporary boarding at a pet hotel. Emily at Live Love Animal Rescue is willing to take him into rescue, but we need a committed foster. She met Harold today and did a behavior assessment, which he passed with flying colors. He appears to be about 5 years old. Please let me know if you know of anyone who would be able to foster.
