About Mater

Say hi to our wonder boy, Mater. Mater is an adorable 2 year old, male, Maltipoo who came to us as a street rescue from TJ. For reasons unknown,he had developed cataract and had very limited vision. Post surgery and lots of TLC, he is happy and healthy! He has been fixed, leash trained, and learning bathroom habits. Mater gets along great with other dogs who play gently with him. He hasnt met kitties yet. Mater will prefer older kids who know how to be gentle and build trust with dogs. He is a complete sweetie and loves cuddles! In spite of how hard his life was earlier with probable neglect, he is an amazing spirit. He is less guarded now after getting his vision back, and living it up! He is usually timid for a day or two, and then turns into his friendly, snuggly self. This boy even enjoys having guests at home because that just means more petting! Talk about a perfect host! Mater will thrive in a calm loving home who will love him and care for him.
