About Salem

Hi there! I'm Salem, and I'm an adorable, playful black and white tuxedo DSH fella who was born in late March 2018. I am a slightly shy guy, but I blossom when I romp and play with all the foster kittens with whom I currently live. My foster mom literally stopped her car at the garbage bin and scooped me up along with my littermates Sherlock and Watson, and I'm surely glad she did! That hardscrabble life of dumpster-diving was the pits, and we were much too young to be surviving like that! I have adapted very well to indoor life -- especially the meal service and all the cool toys. I enjoy a warm bed to snuggle in, and even a cardboard box makes my whiskers curl. I do very well with all the other cats in my foster home, but I'm not fond of the resident dog. As much as I like it here, I know that a lifetime home of my own will be even more terrific. I hope you'll arrange to meet me (and Sherlock and Watson, for that matter!). We're available separately, but when two (or sometimes three!) are adopted together, it's a lot more fun. Plus we can keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation. Salem is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for his indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. His adoption fee is $125 for kittens 9 months old and younger, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends.
