Marley is a sweet and loving boy who believes he's a lapdog. He's almost 2 years old. We adopted him at a mega-adoption event roughly two months ago and we're the second family he's lived with. He's absolutely amazing with our children, 7 and 3, and lived with children in his previous home. He doesn't make much noise, loves people, and knows some basic commands. However, the reason we think it's necessary to find him a new home is because he has a very strong prey drive that has led him to attack a dog in his first home and a cat here. Our cats are old and the stress of this situation is causing one to lose hair. And I'm not sure when she last ate. He also gets into a snarling match with the dogs next door. We've looked into training but it is expensive and the cats may be too old to care if the dog learns to ignore them. We also don't have a fully fenced yard and can't afford to have it finished for some time, and I feel bad that he can't be outside as much as he should be. I've been told by local shelters he can't be taken except as a euthanasia case. That's not fair to him at all. He is such a sweet dog who just needs a good, pet-free home. My phone is stuck in headphone mode so it is rare I can take a call. Email and texting are the best options.
