About Duke

Duke Ellington has apparently been through a lot in his young life, yet remains 'easy to fall in love with', according to his foster mom. He is 3 yrs old, 52 lbs. and an American pit/lab mix. He's beautifully black with white markings on his chest. He loves to play with people and dogs. (not sure about cats, but would probably be afraid of them). Duke is timid at first, but once he's sure it's safe, he's happy to play. He's a people pleaser despite being initially timid and submissive. Consistent patience and love helps Duke overcome his reticence. Love heals all!
