About Spencer

This is Spencer. He is the most wonderful dog I have ever known, and he has never had any problems with other people or animals until recently. He is very protective of me, and has recently shown some aggression toward my parents and girlfriend. He recently bit my girlfriend and that has called for me to rehome him. I have spoken to his vet, and a couple different trainers who all agree he would benefit from behavioral modification training. Spencer is extremely intelligent, knows many commands, is house-broken, and very very energetic. It is very hard to even consider rehoming him, as he is the best dog I have ever known. We play together everyday, we sleep together every night, and I would keep him if my girlfriend would allow it and get him training. Spencer has never had a problem with children, as a couple of my friends have brought their kids around him, even my brother has 2 young daughters that have been around him. His aggression is very circumstantial, and with training I believe there would be no problems at all. I just can't even fathom the idea of having to put him down...I can't do that. I would like to find an appropriate home for him. I am confident that if the right person gives him a chance they will love him as much as I do. I would be more than happy to pay for any training fees associated with him to fix the aggression issue. Spencer is the most amazing dog I have ever known...I want to find him a wonderful home with loving owners who will give him a chance at a better life.
