Meet Pancake, a pretty 4 year old girl that is practically perfect! Here are 10 things that Pancake wants her forever family to know about her: 1. My life before rescue was not the greatest. In fact, the animal police had to come take me from my previous owners because they were so mean. When I got to the shelter, I was very scared and I acted like a complete jerk to almost everyone. I was on the list to be euthanized, but thankfully one of the awesome Bullpen foster families stepped up and said they'd help me out. 2. My best home would have previous experience with Cane Corsos. It's super important that my forever family understands me, and why I do the things that I do. The people at the Bullpen are very serious about this, and will not consider applications without proper experience and education. 3. I am learning every day that humans are good and that I can trust them. My foster dad says I am making wonderful progress and I should be proud of myself, even if I am still a little unsure when I meet new people. Once I get to know someone, however, I am quite affectionate and playful. 4. I live in a foster home with several other big dogs. Because my foster family kept me separated at first and let me gradually meet and interact with their dogs, I've really learned to really like them. I think my ideal home would have a calm, large male dog that I could get to know slowly, but I also wouldn't mind being the only pet. 5. I haven't had much experience with small dogs or cats so I'm not sure if I'd like living in a home with those kinds of pets. 6. I am quite fond of my foster family's granddaughter, and I believe that a family with older children might be a good fit for me, as long as they aren't too loud or rambunctious. 7. My ideal home would be a household that is more on the calm and quiet side, and that doesn't have many visitors to the house. 8. I like belly rubs, getting treats, and playing my version of 'fetch,' which involves my foster dad chasing me around the yard while holding a ball (it's fun, try it!). But the thing I love most in the whole world is riding along in the car. I love it so much that I will sneak in the car if you accidentally leave the door open! 9. I am really good on a leash and I am housebroken. I will go into a crate without complaining, and I even know basic obedience. I do, however, have a bad habit of jumping up when I get excited about something, and I need my forever family to keep working with me to curb the behavior. 10. I am current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. I've started heartworm treatment, and will come with all the medicine needed to complete it at my new home. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a 'perfect placement' so we know that they will not be failed again.
