King is a special little kitty who came into our foster home in rough shape. A kind Samaritan from Animal Care Services found him outside where he had been slowly starving. We don't know exactly what happened to King, but with some TLC, food, and grooming, he rapidly regained his strength. He is a very friendly and loving cat with a big personality. He loves to play with his fish and fishing pole, and he absolutely loves wet food! King is a great house guest with excellent litter box habits. He is even tolerant of other cats but doesn't have a problem letting them know who's the boss. He is a long-haired brown tabby with a cute bobtail. Some words to describe him are mighty, loving, curious, and adorable. His squeaky meow will melt your heart! King is an older gentleman, about 15 years old, and has some special needs. He has hyperthyroidism and requires medicine once a day, which he gladly eats if it's hidden in a delicious pill pocket. King also has early stage kidney failure so we're not sure how much longer he will be with us, (possibly 1-3 years) but with good care and a special diet he can enjoy a great quality of life. (King comes with prescriptions for his medication and food, as well as a generous supply of both.) He will do best as an indoor cat in a quiet home with maybe 1-2 cats so long as there is plenty of room for all of them. We don't recommend a home with dogs and if there are children we suggest older ones that understand that he can be a bit fragile. Due to his special needs, a more experienced cat owner would be best. Don't overlook this loving friend because of his special needs. If given the chance, he will love you dearly with his huge heart and make you laugh with his antics. #adoptdontshop #seniorcat #specialneedscat #thyroidcat
