About Lucky Butt

Say hello to Lucky Butt! Lucky Butt is an adorable pointer mix who got his name from the horseshoe shape around his butt, but he's pretty lucky, too! Lucky is just over a year old and is a very shy and sweet boy. His momma was a stray wondering in the country when one farmer took pity and began to feed her while the other farmers were threatening to shoot her. Unfortunately, she then got pregnant and had puppies out on a working farm with really nobody around to take them in or help look after them. The farmer continued to feed momma and pups when he worked his farm daily, but that was the only human interaction poor Lucky Butt and his siblings had until they were about three months old when the farmer loaded them up, took them to Walmart in a big cage and gave them away to whoever wanted them. Lucky Butt had never been de-wormed and was pot-bellied with them as well as being completely infested with fleas and ticks. He was absolutely terrified to the point of being shut down, but was still so sweet. That was about a year ago and Lucky is healthy, fully vetted and has grown into such a handsome boy! Even though Lucky has come a very long way, he is still very shy when meeting new people and dogs. He will need a fairly quiet home with lots of love and patience to help him acclimate. He is scared of young children due to the noise and sudden movements so he will need a home without kids or with kids probably 12 or older. A securely fenced yard and a young, friendly dog sibling are absolutely mandatory to help this boy settle into his new home. But while Lucky Butt is shy & will need time to adjust, he has a huge personality! He is playful and silly, and likes to talk at times! He is incredibly sweet and affectionate and will climb right into your lap and give kisses! He also likes to hug! Lucky Butt is housetrained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. He currently weighs about 55 lbs. Lucky is fully vetted including neuter, de-worm, combo and rabies shots, heartworm check, and microchip with lifetime registration. Adoption fee is $150 to cover cost of vetting. Adoption application, home visit, vet and reference checks, and adoption contract are required.
