About Athena the Husky

Athena is a beautiful three-year-old pure-bred Siberian husky that has been abandoned and neglected multiple times now because she's a young husky who exhibits husky behavior. Most recently she was given away by her adopter (who broke her contract) and was living on a chain out in 100+ degree heat, infested with fleas. That will not happen to her again. Athena is not only stunning, but smart, playful, friendly with other dogs and people, and a typical husky escape artist. She is also a total sweetheart who is affectionate, loves attention (like most huskies!), and loves to give kisses and cuddle! As with all young huskies, Athena is full energy and needs daily energy burn as well as daily stimulation. Taking her for a quick walk around the block or letting her play in the back yard for awhile is not enough for a young husky. Athena needs an active family, a playful dog sibling, and a secure six-foot wood privacy fence. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE IN REGARD TO THE FENCE. Due to the fact that Athena has exhibited escape artist behavior, she needs an experienced husky owner. She is fully vetted (including microchip with lifetime registration) but needs an updated heartworm test, which has been scheduled with our vet. Adoption fee is $150.
