About Maya

Maya is a young purebred blue nose pit, who was rescued as a pup from the hurricanes last year in Texas. She was bred once before we rescued her ourselves, had a small litter of 3 healthy pups may 2018. She is great with our 3 year old daughter and is very much a part of our family and it hurts me to have to find a new home for her. However we had to make a very big move across the country to help care for my dying mother, and maya is not getting along with her elderly pets. She seems to REALLY like her small dog and cat, and just really wants to play with them, but with their age and health in mind, she is severely stressing them to the point of additional health problems. I do believe that Maya would be fine around younger pets, and adults who are used to a high energy dog around. Her previous home also had a cat and 2 other blue nose pits and all were fine together. She is kennel trained with a single command, knows other basic commands such as sit, stay, easy etc but does need work on a few things. We truly love her so much, but it isn't fair to her to be kept in a home where she cannot be her goofy, energetic self.
