About Dozer

Dozer is about 1 �%BD year old male Cattahoula mix. He is 80 pounds of pure snuggles and love! He is very playful and silly. He loves to snuggle up next to his human on the bed or couch and just be with his human. He is good around small children and babies. The only concern around children is he doesn't know his own strength and can accidently knock them down but, immediately will lick their face! In fact, he is a big licker and licks everyone. He gets along well with other big dogs but is reactive to unfamiliar dogs. This can make walks challenging. However, once introduced he will play for hours. He does like to play rough but has never hurt another dog. Not sure how he would be with small dogs but just wants to lick the cat. He's unphased by horses but will chase rabbits and coyotes. He suffers separation anxiety so he would do best with another big dog and a family where he would not be left without his human for long periods during the day. He knows his basic commands and can be recalled with a whistle when off leash. He is strong willed and will require a strong leader but, once he respects you as a leader even my 13 year old daughter can walk and work with him. He requires daily exercise. He would do best with a family that has experience with reactive big dogs or who would be willing to continue his training with a professional. His adoptive family should be active and able to provide him exercise. He does best when he is stimulated physically and mentally. His main daily desire is to please his family.
