About Bella

Bella an approx 20 month old 60 pound female Great Pyrenees. She was rescued from the euthanasia list in Roswell, New Mexico. She was found wandering the streets and put into the slammer. She was emaciated and in bad shape, it was obvious she had been out on her own for a while. Bella did not like being in the slammer and started to shut down when a foster for Low Riders saw her and wanted to help her escape her situation immediately. She was sprung and brought to Colorado Springs where her foster has done a great job getting her back to the awesome little pup she should be. Bella has many Pyrenees qualities. Anyone interested should read up on the breed. She is a sweet girl who is great with all kids. She is pretty good with cats; wants to play with them. She loves to go on walks. She is getting better and better with her leash manners. In fact she loves to be outside, and loves to play and run around. She has a basket of toys just for her, to help deter her from 'playing' with other stuff. She's also had some in-home professional training which has helped her with basic commands. Although she is still very puppy like in many ways she has mellowed a lot. She sleeps in a kennel at night usually 9 hours, and is kenneled when fosters are not home. However, she is only home alone 2 to 3 hours a day. She does occasionally go in kennel on her own for a little while at a time. We would not recommend her to be kenneled all day. She would not like that. Bella would LOVE to be in a home with another friendly dog to play with, and a big fenced yard.
