About Minnie

Adoption Fee: $100
Beagle / Jack Russell
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Meet Minnie At five years old, sweet and pretty Minnie finds herself without a home, without her people, without a soft bed and without her best doggy companion. Minnie was not able to move to a new home with her owner. She was surrendered on July 27, 2018. Minnie is a trooper. Since arriving at the shelter she bravely holds her head high and welcomes all who show her a kindly hand. Minnie is thought to be a beagle mix, but with a little extra weight around her middle it's a hard to tell how much is beagle and how much is mix. No matter though we think her girth just gives us more of her to love. Minnie is super sweet and really affectionate. She loves being petted and will sit in your lap if you let her. She gets along well with people, kids and dogs, and as for cats she pays them no mind, but happily welcomes them to be around her. Minnie prefers to be with her people and is an indoor dog. We're told she's afraid of thunderstorms and welcomes a calming hand to help her through. She enjoys taking walks and is leash trained. She's currently house-trained. Hopefully the perfect family will come along soon and rescue this sweet pooch from shelter living and give her a forever place to call her own. Minnie is fully vetted, tested heartworm negative and is spayed. If you can offer a safe indoor home submit an application online or at the shelter after a get acquainted visit. Application can be submitted online at: {https://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/page/dog-adoption-application} . The online form may generate a 'Fatal Error' message after submission which is to be ignored. It is a system glitch and the submission HAS gone through. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet, a call to landlord if renting and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. Those who are not in a nearby community will have a virtual home visit. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://smithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals.
