About Malcolm

We ended up with Malcom a few weeks back after a free adoption day at the humane society. He was the very last animal there to get adopted and we waited until the last minute to see if anyone was going to take him. No one did so we couldn't leave him and decided to take him and help find him a good, forever home. He is a male pit mix that is just over a year old. Still has puppy left in him so he does have a lot of energy. I have worked with him try and see if he will show any aggression and he has not. This includes taking food and bones away while eating, things to irritate dogs and around other dogs he has been fine. He is young and doesn't realize his size so when he plays he can be rough, but he isn't meaning to be. Playing with the girls he does good, but may not be the best around kids under 6 or 7 until he calms down some. I believe that with someone who can give him the attention he needs he will be a great, loyal dog. Someone who has a fenced in yard for him to run and still be able to come inside will be great for him. He loves to be with you and thinks he is a lap dog. He is house trained, though if you have another Male dog he may feel need to mark at first, but won't keep it up and has never went in house. Malcom will need lots of toys as he can tear them up quick. Since we haven't been able to work with him as much as we would of liked to, he does like to play with whatever is there. I believe this habit will break quick. That is the only negative thing about him, but I believe it falls back on us more than anything. He is UTD on shots and flea and tick medicine. We want to make sure he goes to a good home so if going to tie him up, put in small pen or just leave outside please don't waste our time or yours. He is a very loving dog and needs a family who can spend time with him. He has played great with other dogs and cats he loves to chase, but never caught so honestly unsure of how he would be.
