About Sugar

Sugar is a Beagle from a line in Missouri. Her mother 'Momma/Lil Girl' was a 14' Beagle, her dad 'Jacob' was a 20' Beagle, both of which were our dogs as well. She has been a very loving and gentle friend. She can be intimidated by other dogs and young children but loves to receive attention, go for car rides, and sun bathe. While I say she's a Beagle, the only signs she has are her coloring/markings and (very rarely) her Beagle bark. Other than those traits, she is very much a couch/dog bed & TV loving dog. She is not comfortable with loud machine type noises and does struggle with arthritis (currently on medicine). As she is 14yrs old, she does appear to have cataracts, but she is still able to see and get around as if nothing is wrong with her. There are days when she seems to be an 'old girl' but you bring out the treats or her food and she looks and acts like a puppy again. We have loved this pretty girl for 14+ years. She has been in our lives since Momma was pregnant with her and literally helped bring her into the world. It is heartbreaking to have to find her a new family but know that she will be happy to live out the rest of her days anywhere with a couch and people to love on her. My family received military orders to Italy and in the best interest of Sugar, feel it best to find her a new family as we don't believe she would be able to make the plane trip. As stated, it breaks our heart to have to part with Sugar but know that it is in her best interest to find her a new 'fur-ever' home.
