About Sammie

My name is Sammie. People say I'm a 23-lb. ball of energy. I say I enjoy 'an active lifestyle.' I would love, love, love to play fetch and go hiking with you. I'm also fond of chewing on nylon bones, but the thing I'd like most (besides you, of course) is a fenced yard where I can be off leash to run, play, and explore to my heart's content. Even though I'm just 2 years old and quite lively, I'm not a noisy fellow at all. I've only barked once around my foster mom. She says I'm quite smart; every morning after our walk, I go straight to my crate without even being asked! I get along famously with the one other dog and the cat in my foster home, and I think kids are great. I hope you'll have a kid or a canine buddy to be my best friend because I would love to have someone with the energy to keep up with me. (And here's an added bonus: If you have a tiny human who is hard to tire out, I can help with that.) Of course I'm house-trained. Could you ask for much more? I think not.
