Samson here to tell you that I'm a friendly 50 pound boy looking for a forever home! My previous owner loved me very much, but the landlord wouldn't allow dogs so I need to find a new family. My favorite thing is my orange ball -- I'll play with it for hours! I lived in a home with six children, so I'd be great in a home with kids. I also lived with younger cats, so I will likely be fine with cats with a slow introduction. I was surrendered with my son, Revis, and we would do great in a forever home together or separately. However, I've been attacked by other dogs in the past, so I need to be in a home where I'm the only dog (other than Revis). I'm three years old, but sometimes I still feel like a puppy. When I see you, my whole body wiggles with excitement! Sometimes I get so excited that I jump and pull on the leash during walks, so I need someone to work with me on that. I'm very good about not guarding my food, and I wait patiently if you take my bowl away while I'm eating. I have tested positive for Lyme in the past but have shown no symptoms! I love to be outside, so come meet me and take me for a walk! I'll reward you with lots of snuggles and kisses. I'm even a lap dog once I get to know you! We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
