About Salem

This momma, just a puppy herself (estimated to be a little over a year as of 7/27/2018), has been a wonderful momma to her 8 puppies. But now is the time for her to stop taking care of them and look out for herself. She is a pocket pittie mix with a personality twice her size. She likes women but LOVES men. She has previously lived with a large male dog and currently does well with her medium sized foster sister, so a home with another larger dog is definitely an option! We have introduced her to a baby under a year old and she was extremely curious but gentle. Her previous owners told us she was great with their toddler. However, as with any home with young kids, when placing a dog, we would prefer to take any potential adoption extremely slow to ensure it all goes splendidly. Salem is extremely smart and highly food motivated. Her favorite activities include sunbathing and zoomies. She is very personable and has enjoyed meeting new people. She's not really a lap dog, having an independent personality, but she is quite the lover. She would make the perfect addition to most families.
