Meet Caleb an 11 month old pure bread Great Pyrenees. He is still all puppy. He has all his initial puppy vaccines, no rabbies vaccine yet and is not yet neutered. He is a bit dominant and while he mostly just wants to play with other dogs his size intimidates them, he would do best as an only dog or in a home with submissive dogs and no intact males. His current owner is an elderly woman who always wanted a Great Pyrenees's, unfortunately she is unable to handle this big boy and he and her other dog who is a dominant male don't get a long at all. She is going to take him to the Riverside Shelter soon as an owner surrender if we can't find him a home. He needs someone familiar with the breed and willing to put the time into this beautiful boy to teach him some manners and give him the love and attention he deserves. He's become a backyard dog who gets no attention as a result of her situation and she at least recognizes this isn't fair to this big baby. He loves her neighbors kids and plays with them through the fence, he does great with women, has not been around men yet to know if he would respond differently or not, no reason to believe he would but want people aware of what he's been exposed to and not. No formal training at this time. This sweet boy needs someone to love him and spend time with him. Thank you for considering adoption.
