About Zaida

Zaida was born 5/6/18 and is growing big and strong! She is an intelligent bundle of energy, a Boxer/German Shepherd mix, who loves lots of exercise, play, and training to turn her into a worn-out cuddly love-bug who wants to sit in your lap to gnaw on her bone at the end of the day. Zaida needs an assertive yet patient personality to lead her, to let her know she does not need to be top dog, and to let her enjoy being a puppy. She does very well with people who can establish leadership without striking her; positive reinforcement training works great! She loves people and big dogs and would LOVE to have a big doggie brother or doggie sister to play with! She does display dominance with small dogs and other puppies, and has met some trainers and been to puppy play to work on socialization. She's made it through the worst of her puppy biting: kids love her and she adores them, although she still plays rough, so older children only, please. She loves to run and is learning fetch and would love an open space to play. She loves puzzles, things to keep her mind busy. She is easy to train, and is learning targeting as well as the basics. She needs someone experienced with high-energy puppies, preferably experience with Boxers or German Shepherds, someone ready to mold her into the big, beautiful, athletic companion she is destined to become. She is almost completely housebroken and is crate trained with a 48-inch crate for up to 3-4 hours at a time during the day and all night. She is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm prevention, flea & tick prevention, and has been dewormed. Requesting a donation directly to RescueMe.
