About Maximus

Maximus: 1.5 yr old (DOB 11/12/2016) black & tan male, neutered, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 10', 9.2 lb. Fully vetted. Max is a purebred black minpin - his Minpin tan markings are dark brindle. His mother was a tiny black & tan, his father was a bulkier fawn, and he got some of both. He has long slender legs and the silkiest shiny coat ever! His first year was with a family unprepared for his puppy energy level, so he was returned to the breeder. There he clashed with the resident male (his Dad!) and was turned in to rescue. Max is a puppy teenager who now gets along well with our 2 & 4-legged family. He loves to do zoomies with other minpins and is completely comfortable with us - he gives boisterous kisses before he runs off for another zoomie! When you relax, he relaxes by your side. Max has proven fairly easy to train - curious, interested, and responsive to happy voices, baby talk, attention and earned treats. He has calmed around males considerably since neuter but can still be reactive. No issues with females, even our grumpy one. Max isn't one to be left outside or on the porch or in the care of children; his development will continue in the right direction with Minpin-experienced adult interaction.
