About Ryker

This handsome devil is 'Ryker' ��� He had a rough start to life . About a year ago he was found tied to a tree by a rope. He had a severe case of demodex (non-contagious) mange, was very underweight, and heartworm positive. He was taken to the local shelter where he did not stand a chance of getting adopted :( One of our fosters saw such a sweet dog beneath all his issues and pulled him to safety. He has since been treated and cleared his heartworms and has grown the majority of his hair back. Although his coat improves every day, due to the severity of his original skin condition, he is expected to have a few permanent bald spots. Found sad and hopeless, Ryker has flourished in his foster home :D He is crate and potty trained, great both in a car and on a leash, and loves other dogs. He enjoys playing and being active, but also wouldn't mind cuddling up with his people. He likes to jump up to give people hugs, but he is both very gentle and loving when doing so. This guy could turn any frown upside down! Ryker is estimated at 3 years old and 70lbs. He gained some weight while on crate rest for heartworm treatment and are working to get his athletic figure back. Since he is an active boy, it should take no time at all!
