About Michael

Michael stayed at the humane society for 2 years in his kennel, before he started getting kennel crazy. I took him home with the intention of giving him a few good weeks in his life and just see how he'd do in a home setting. I have 7 other dogs, 2 cats, a rabbit and a 5 year old. He was a brand new boy the minute he came to our home. We gave 2 weeks to decompress before overwhelming him with my crew. He struggled with storms and being crated 8 hours while I was at work. He does much better now and crates nicely but still struggles with storms when alone. We went on vacation the first week of July and sent him to a doggie daycare. He played great with all the play groups he was in. I was so proud. He's a very good house dog. He is relaxed and doesn't chew anything but his chew toys. I have worked him in with some of my client dogs and he's done great with everyone he's met. He loves people and the cats, the rabbit keeps to himself so he doesn't really acknowledge him. Michael had a rough beginning, when he came to the humane society he had to have reconstructive surgery on his front legs and nose. You wouldn't really know that now except for a few scars across the bridge of his nose. He's house trained and knows basics. His favorite thing to do is play fetch with rubber chuck it balls. He will fetch forever and a day. We love him so much, but because of our long hours and already full house we are actively looking for a new home or rescue for him. I don't trust this area to care for him like he deserves so that's why I'm looking outside of Waycross , Ga for help. He's neutered and heartworm Free.
