About Beau

Hi, my name is Beau and I am in need of a foster/or adopter. I am currently at the local pound at Wignall. I'm about 6 years old. Right now I'm underweight at 40 lbs. I should be more in the range of 50-60 lbs. I know with the right food and care I will get back sporting my beach body. I am very social, but not in your face about it....which I think people will personally LOVE! I'm very respectful of boundaries with people and other dogs. I'm quiet in my crate, and quite clean, if I do say so myself. I walk well on my easy walk harness, and when I walk I love to buddy up to any guys I may see but I love the ladies as well. I'm good with kids, the volunteer has a 6, 8, and 11 year old and I say hi to them and then move on. I'm not too jumpy and wag my tail when I see them. I have some minor skin abrasions, but they have been clearing up since I'm back on a good diet. I'm very food motivated, but not too intense about it. I'm also very gentle when taking treats as well. Man do I love to ride in the car, in fact I prefer sitting on the floor. One half of me will be on the floor while the other half of me is on the seat, hahaha. I prefer car rides over anything, even though I enjoy walking; the ride is the exciting part. I have been off leash (sort of) I drag my long lead. When I am called I listen very well and I don't run too far ahead of my foster family. Oh yeah by the way...you know those crazy little critters they call chipmunks? Well I love to chase them. I bounce after them like a deer but will stop to follow you (if you keep walking on) I don't like water, but I like digging in it. Right now I have no interest in swimming. I don't really like cats, I want to chase and bark at them. I've only met them on leash and the first time I was too focused on them. The next four times I walked by I was less interested but I may be better in a home without them. I get distracted easily so I will need some training to help me learn to be more focused.
