About Murphy

Sweet and shy husky mix with a soft, golden coat and a loyal disposition seeks a new loving home! He is very energetic and loves to run and play. He is extremely loyal and protective of everyone in his 'pack' and will happily snuggle up to you at the end of a long day of running around. He especially loves to find the softest spot in the house and cozy up on it with a good peanut butter Kong. His favorite outdoor activities include running in the dog park with other dogs and hikes. Murphy is active, friendly, talkative, and nervous around new people. He loves to be brushed, petted, and stay close to his people. Due to an early issue with nipping new people when they come into our home, he has gone through training to lessen his anxiety and nervousness. Any potential new families should be ready to put behavior modifications in place for Murphy, with an emphasis on replacement behaviors and positive reinforcement. He is friendly towards other dogs. He is approximately 2 and a half years old and needs a new loving home with lots of space to run around, as our small apartment and new baby are not making him happy. He is neutered and up to date on all shots with no medical issues. He is 35 lbs and fully house trained. He is responsive to the commands: sit, stay, come, down, and paw.
