About Blackbeard

Adoption Fee: $295
Lab / Airedale
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Arrrrrr you looking for the perfect companion??? Look no further matey, Blackbeard is here!!! Blackbeard is a year old Lab/Airdale mix and he's a complete love bug. He gets along with big dogs, small dogs, cats, horses, humans and is small kid friendly. He will lick you for hours. He's about 60 pounds, crate trained, house broken, walks on leash like a gem unless there are other dogs barking (hey, we all have things we can work on, certainly nothing that he needs to walk the plank for!!). Looking for treasure?? Blackbeard is very very curious and wants to search out and play with anything and everything he can get to! He would probably love a fenced in back yard!! He can sit and lay down on command. He is super chill and can relax by your side all day. He loves scratches and ear rubs and even has a ticklish spot! So far he has been left in his crate for 5 hours with no accidents and he sleeps un-crated in the kitchen with his little sister. Shiver me timbers, that's amazing friends!! Yo ho ho and a box of biscuits---Blackbeard also loves to chew on bones and raw hides. He is a little skittish of stairs but with some coaxing I've been able to get him down in the basement. He is the sweetest dog I've ever been around and his young big brown eyes look right into your soul. Blimey! This dog is going to make the perfect companion for a wonderful pirate....errrrr, family! Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
