About Vice

Adoption Fee: $295
Pit Bull / Catahoula
Age: Puppy

Meet Vice! Male Pit Bull/Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix About 10 Months old Vice came to Safe Haven from Tennessee where his options were slim. The county he was found in has non-bully breed legislation making Pit Bull mixes and other similar breeds is illegal. He either needed to find rescue, or'| else. We brought him here to IL to give this beautiful boy the chance to adopt his very own forever family! Vice is a typical teen with some puppy energy, but someone took the time to start training him because when he came to us he knew how to sit on command and is walking nicely on a leash. He loves to play and run and would do well with an active family that has a fenced yard and would like to play ball and go on walks/runs. Vice gets along well with other dogs of all sizes and does well with children. He has basic house manners and training but would benefit from continued training to make him a great canine citizen. Vice has a soft velvety, speckled coat that makes him stunning. Along with his dashing looks, his sweet demeanor, and his adorable personality, he will make a great family pet! We have to say weren't too keen on the name he was given and have tried out several variations'|. 'Miami Vice' or 'Vanilla Vice'? Admit it, now you have that song in your head'|'Vice, Vice, Baby!' Please email us to meet this special boy and be the ones to change his name and his life. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
