**URGENT GOING TO HIT EUTHANASIA LIST VERY SOON***WELL MANNERED BOY***DOG FRIENDLY** Dagwood A4068425 (east) Hi, my name is DAGWOOD. I am a neutered male, tricolor Chinese Sharpei and German Shepherd Dog, and I was found as a stray and brought in by a caring stranger. The shelter staff think I am about 6 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Mar 26, 2018. I'm a sweet and gentle boy who loves having company. Somebody stuck their fingers through the bars of my cage, and I nipped at them. Didn't know I wasn't supposed to do that. I may have been a guard dog at some point, nobody knows for sure. Anyway, they put that 'bite' card on my cage, so now nobody wants to adopt me. Humpf! I am very gentle, take treats nicely, and walk real good on the leash, only pulling a little 'cause I get excited to go-go-go. I like jogging, too, even on a treadmill. Not real crazy about water, but I'll maybe dip my big toe in there if I need to get a ball or toy out of there. I do like soft toys and balls, so if that's your thing, it's OK with me. I like just sitting in the yard, maybe under a tree getting petted. I get along OK with other doggies, but if I sense their not my type, I'll bark to let them know to keep their distance. I DO NEED OLDER KIDS OVER 12 DUE TO MY BITE AND MOUTHYNESS. I also have a girlfriend Snow White (she is deaf but sweet) who I do really well with if you were thinking of getting 2 dogs. we both love to hang out, but we are not bonded.
