Adoptable CARTER: Did you know your life is too boring? Don't worry, I can help you with that, my name is Carter and I'm a 16 month old pittie/staffy with a lust for life and action! I'm living with Foster Ma in Cary, NC and I like to keep her days full with intense days of fetch, climbing ANYTHING, hiking, nosework and yard play. I'm REALLY smart, which apparently means I can get into trouble, but with consistent work we can figure out the rules. Sometimes I forget that I am almost 70# of handsome and try to curl up on your lap and smother you with kisses. We are working on excitement inhibition and mouth control, whatever that is! Some cool jobs that I would like to try would be anything involving fetching balls, using my nose, or parkour because I think life is naturally full of obstacles to explore! Sometimes I get scared and react. I just finished this weird fear phase thing where everything was scary. Foster Ma is helping me re-build confidence so I'm just getting back to my old favorites like walking trails and going into public. My favorite place in the world is Lowe's Home Improvement store, it is my happy place! I've already earned my Novice Trick Dog title and know some advanced tricks like finding and retrieving certain objects. Maybe I am a Pitador Retriever because I LOVE water. Nothing is better than spalshing around and I would love to try swimming sometime. I am dog friendly but still need to practice polite dog manners (I like chase and rough play). My previous best friend was a hound that could run and let me play chase for hours. My foster home has bunnies that live behind an xpen, but we don't play together for safety reasons.
