About Balloo

Adoption Fee: $275.00
Dachshund
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

What a sweet boy! Balloo lived with his weenie brother Dougie in Virginia. Dougie had 3 back surgeries which I'm sure was expensive and very hard on their mom. When Balloo's back issue began and he was in pain and couldn't walk they were turned over to our Sophia's Grace. They were both transported to Ohio to be fostered and Balloo could start therapy to 'be all that he can be'!Balloo is an Isabella and tan. First time I've ever seen that combination. He's gorgeous with very expressive eyes. He loves to cuddle and sleeps in the big bed, under the covers. Eats like a gentleman and takes treats very softly from your hand. He doesn't appreciate other dogs getting right up in his face but will only growl to let them know. He loves to sit on the couch with you and he goes under a blanket. It's pretty funny to watch him burrow as the other dogs watch the blanket moving. Balloo is a standard so he's pretty long! He could stand to gain some weight and we're working on that. He's happy to eat whatever I give him. This guy needs to be expressed to prevent a UTI so someone will need to be home or only work part time. He has a 'drag bag' to get around without making boo boo's on his legs and wears a belly band while in it in case he leaks. If he's expressed on a regular basis, every few hours, he's fine. Sleeps thru the night with no accidents. Balloo needs a cart to get around like the others so he can 'run' around the yard. Hopefully we can get one for him before he finds a home. He's doing water treadmill therapy right now and will be finished in the middle of March. All of his vetting is complete also.PS . . . he's okay with cats!If you're interested in this handsome gentleman let his foster mama know! He's currently in NE Ohio but can be transported within reason.Mama - [email protected]
