About Ivory Tower (Ivy)

IVORY TOWER- 22 year-old 15hh Standardbred mare - trail/pleasure riding (can do little jumps too) or driving - for advanced beginner rider or driver. Ivory Tower (Ivy) was a successful broodmare who found herself at auction in March 2010. She was adopted to a loving home for 7 years, but returned to HRU in late 2017 when her adopter's health issues prevented her from caring for her. Ivy is an absolute sweetheart who has excellent manners, always looking to please. Ivy rides English or Western and also drives beautifully. She can take little jumps under saddle too. Ivy hasn't been on traditional trails out in the woods to date, but has been ridden on a sand track and all around her former adopter's property. Ivy is a very easy keeper who should only eat Timothy grass hay with some alfalfa hay added during the winter (no grain). She has shared a field with many types of horses and makes an excellent companion. She currently lives out 24/7 with a shed. Available FREE to an approved home with contract with a minimum 60 day trial period. Adopter must be located within an eight (8) hour drive of Howell, NJ OR the Lexington, Kentucky area.
