About BROWNY

PROUDLY present BROWNY - a roughly 3-5 yr. old Boxer Terrier mix that came to ADR.org as an extremely terrified dog, that was afraid of new situations, out of routine situations, and was in a constant FEAR/FLEE mode. So he had a rough start. He has now settled in but his reconditioning from fearful about what he does not know to accepting and at least trusting about what is presented as 'new' to him. BROWNY must have been kept in an isolated location or enclosure with little to no exposure to humans or other dogs. It turns out though that once he understands structure and routine in his daily dog life he fully gets used to it and accepts it. It can also be said that he is fully devoted to his human being once he trusts that nothing bad will come out of this human being's behavior. And it also turns out that is very compatible, loving and respectful with other dogs that surround him on a daily basis. The same applies to cats which he totally ignores or accepts as another being on 4 legs. He would be a perfect buddy to any other dogs - be it dominant or omega type of dog. He would thrive in a home that is not hectic AND with another dog that becomes his fatherly buddy. He loves his walks side by side with his temporary dog buddies and there is nothing better to watch his floppy ears from behind. He is such a pearl and precious. Whoever will be lucky to adopt BUDDY will have the best loyal companion he/she/ they ever had. Browny was saved out of the high kill shelter (Downey shelter, CA) and if you will contact ADR.org you will be receiving a video of BROWNY inside an incarceration like concrete kennel with no way out - which reflects on his face in this video. BROWNY is healthy, a compact medium high 40lbs adorable mutt. He is neutered, microchipped and is up to date with vaccinations.
