About Patsy

Adoption Fee: $175
Treeing Walker Coonhound mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Oh hey y'all, it's me, Patsy! I am super excited to meet you! I am a 45-pound, long-legged Walker hound mix. I am a beautiful lady who loves your attention and deer antlers. Don't forget the deer antlers! And the Milk Bones! I am lop-eared and silly. I show you love by putting my cold, wet nose right on your face. It's refreshing, I promise! I like to give hugs too. I'm even a little punk rock because I have one black toe nail on one front paw and on one back paw. I was pulled from The Smyth County Animal Shelter when a very nice lady saw my picture and knew I wouldn't have a chance at being adopted in that rural area. I am now living with an awesome lady getting all the things I need and then some. I will be spoiled rotten if I don't get adopted quick, so you better act fast! I have found my bigger foster brothers aren't real great about playing with me but that's because they have forgotten what fun is, but this week we had a new friend and she is the MOST fun! We have been playing SO much and it has been just the best. She is so small, and I make sure to be gentle so as not to hurt her. I am good with cats (well, one cat, and he just tells me to bugger off) and kids and other dogs. My foster mom likes to call that the doggie trifecta. I didn't much care for being crated my first night at my foster home, but I settled down after a bit and went to sleep. I've since proven that I didn't need to be crated any more, but I don't mind it if it's necessary. I am still working on my house training. See, I lived as a hunting dog and then got dumped somewhere so I haven't had the opportunity to learn all my manners yet. But I am learning, and my foster mom thinks I am smarter than the average bear. I am being treated for Lyme's disease, but after a couple weeks of antibiotics, I will be good as gold! Augusta Dog Adoptions will supply you with what you need because that, my lovelies, is how they roll! When we get home, I am happy to just Netflix and chill with you; I like couch sitting! I enjoy good zoomies in the yard too, so I am your all-around hound! So, if you're looking for a pretty cool gal to hang with and you like floppy ears and long legs, then give me a good once over (or you could look several times). Come see me at PetSmart on Saturday mornings from 10-1. I can't wait to meet y'all! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. For more information and to apply to adopt, please visit www.augustadogadoptions.org If you google our address, you will be directed to Richmond. That is NOT our adoption event location. If you have questions, please message us on Facebook.
