SAY HELLO TO MICKEY! Mickey is a very charming black and gold cpated Senior Yorkshire Terrier boy. Weighing in at a tiny 5 pounds, Mickey cam to us through no fault of his own. He is just a perfect bright little active guy - however his owner stated they 'no longer had time for him'. So so sad to hear these stories again and again, but we know that we are going to find the perfect family for him as mMickey is just such a joy here at the rescue! He will make such a wonderful companion! Mickey is so sweet and friendly. He is not your average 12 year old! He is very bright and alert and so active! He has such adorable spring in his step as he trots down the pathways on his leash. He greets everyone warmly and gently. He is wonderful as he rides shotgun in the car and enjoys those excursions very much. Mickey is housetrained and will adjust very quickly to your routine once shown. He also crates well without complaint. Mickey gets on well with his foster mates and would continue to thrive with a companion who is similar in size and temperament. Mickey would be a wonderful addition to a family with adults or adults with older kids that will understand and respect his tiny 5 pound size. Only homes with kids over the age of 10 will be considered. Mickey had never had his teeth cleaned so he was immediately brought to our Veterinarian for a professional dental cleaning which included 12 extractions. Needless to say, his mouth is feeling so much better! He also had a blood draw done and that also came out very good as well. Mickey is a longer coated breed, so he will need regular brushing as well as professional grooming every 8 to 10 weeks. Mickey's adoption fee is 275.00 This fee includes his Veterinarian Wellness checks while here at the rescue, his neuter, his professional dental cleaning with 19 extractions, labwork, all vaccinations including rabies and bordatella, de-worming, a pre-adoption professional groom and a microchip with lifetime membership. Mickey will also have a new collar and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality grain free kibble that he has been eating. His adoption fee also allows us the ability to put funds towards the next little one in need of rescue!
