About OTIS

SAY HELLO TO OTIS! Otis is an adorable 3 year old gold and white Shih Tzu boy. Weighing in at just 12 pounds, this handsome boy was surrendered to our rescue by his owners. They could no longer keep him as they say he did not care for their toddler and would snap. Although we have not seen any sort of aggressiveness with Otis, given the history that was provided by his former owner, we will only consider homes that are adult only or adults with kids over the age of 12. What can we say about Otis other than he is simply the most loving little guy! From the first day he was welcomed into our rescue, he fit right in. He gets along so well with all his foster mates and is just so friendly with everyone he meets. He would absolutely love to have another who is similar in size, age and easy going personality for companionship. Otis sleeps in his own bed, however enjoys being in the big people bed as well cuddled up at the foot of it. No one is ever a stranger to Otis, and he considers all to be a friend. He is so bright and just wants to be near you. He is very well behaved and not at all barky. He is content to snuggle up next to you on the couch or in the recliner. He plays very well with his toys and enjoys a game of toss. He walks like a champ on hos leash and greets all he meets at the park with a tail wag and a big smile. He is really a 'people person' and takes in all the 'oohs and ahhs' that he hears when people see him! Otis is very happy during his rides in the car and enjoys the sites and sounds. Otis is housetrained, however will need gentle guidance and patience as his new family introduces to him where he is to go and what he is to do. Otis is a longer coated breed, so he will need regular brushing as well as professional grooming every 8 to 10 weeks. Otis's adoption fee is 450.00 This fee includes his Veterinarian Wellness checks while here at the rescue, his neuter, all vaccinations including rabies and bordatella, de-worming, a pre-adoption professional groom and a microchip with lifetime membership. He will also have a new collar and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality grain free kibble that he has been eating. His adoption fee also allows us the ability to put funds towards the next little one in need of rescue!es and sounds. He is house trained, however
