When we first heard about Koda, we figured he was just a small underweight German Shepherd. Koda was found as a stray in Philadelphia and picked up by a good Samaritan who took care of Koda for a week before having to bring him to the shelter. During Koda's time in the home, he was shy but sweet and played with children and preferred to just ignore other dogs. This quiet and gentle boy was being overlooked by potential adopters at the shelter. Koda his time was running out at the shelter and before he ran the risk of being euthanized, Sedona brought Koda into our program. We realized that he was a handsome and gentle dog was sneaking out as a German Shepherd, but really is an Australian Kelpie. That's ok, we love this boy. Once Koda settles into a routine, he has a sweet playful personality. We believe Koda is probably under 2 years old. Since being with Sedona, Koda has not shown any interest in other dogs. He does enjoy being active, as would be expected based on age and breed. Koda would do well with an active family, preferably a fenced in back yard and someone who understands it may take a week or two for Koda to become comfortable in his new environment. No cats.
