About Mila

Adoption Fee: $225
Beagle / Lab
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Mila is a super sweet and playful beagle/Lab mix weighing about 35 pounds. She is about 7 months old, we are guessing her bday to be 1/1/2018. so she has a little more growing to do but I anticipate she won't be much bigger. She is UTD on her vaccines and she is HW negative. She will be spayed hopefully next week. She is cat-friendly and has gotten along well with all the dogs she's met. She is not hyper or out of control like some young dogs, therefore she does not jump on you often and when she does we are teaching her the 'off' command and she is doing really well with it. She is very treat motivated too. She is learning the 'sit' command really well. She is already crate trained with only 10 days of practice and will go in her crate when told and sleeps all night in her crate with no whining. She does well if left in her crate during the day for up to 4-5 hours at a time. Since she is still a puppy it is not recommended to leave her longer than that as she may have a potty accident, but as she grows she will be able to tolerate up to 7-8 hours in her crate. She absolutely loves toys! She loves to look through the toy basket and bring you a toy and she will chase a ball and bring it back to you to throw. We are working on her releasing the ball with the 'give' command and she's doing really well. She has shown no food aggression or toy aggression. She really is the perfect little dog who seems to just want to please you and she loves to cuddle!! She does love to chew on her toys and since she is still a puppy she has not developed a distinction between a toy and your shoe so it is best to puppy proof until she grows out of the chewing stage. We are teaching her the 'leave it' command for that. She will be a very low shedder as her fur is very silky sleek and soft. She will need a fenced yard so she can get her energy out by running and playing and she will do best with kids that can and will interact with her, and a doggy playmate would be ideal as she loves to run and wrestle and chase my two boxers. A tired puppy is a good puppy! I could go on and on about her as she has been such a pleasure to foster'|'|but you really have to meet Mila and I guarantee you will fall in love with her too!
