About Britta

Britta is a beautiful 2 year old boxer/beagle mix who loves to play with toys. She can keep herself entertained for hours if she has a few on hand; she does tend to tear up the stuffed ones eventually but it's worth it just to watch her have so much fun! Britta's past is a sad one; she was living in a home with no water or electricity for over a year until her owner became severely ill and could no longer care for her. She hadn't had much social interaction before we took her in; but she's gained trust in people and is a happy, social girl now. She can be just a tad shy initially and then within a few minutes, she is ready for ear scratches and butt rubs (whichever is your preference!). Britta does fine around other dogs in neutral settings; she really just ignores them. She's a people girl! But in a home, she'd prefer to be an 'only child' so that she can be the center of attention. She appears to be potty trained and walks well on a leash. And who can resist those big brown eyes of hers! They are liquid and soulful! She can melt even the coldest hearts! If you'd like to adopt beautiful Britta, please let us know!
