About Schatten

Schatten is a 1 1/2 year old male neutered black lab mix and is around 40lbs. His name is pronounced 'shot-ten' and is German for Shadow. He's super loving and wants to be with you all the time. He has LOADS of energy and loves playing with toys and running around, he would do best with a 6ft fenced in yard. He's great with dogs and kids too! He still has a lot of puppy energy so he requires patience but he's been through extensive training and knows sit, down, and stay. He can even sit in the other room while his food is being prepared until he's told it's okay to eat! In his spare time when he's not chasing after toys or chewing his bone, he enjoys sunbathing, long walks, treats, and don't forget the cuddling! Schatten came with scars on his muzzle, his tail, and on his body from abuse. But his past doesn't even phase him! He is crate trained and potty trained, not food or toy aggressive. He's the perfect gentleman for nail trims and loves bath time. When Schatten was around 6 months old he was diagnosed with Irritable Bowl Disease. Because of this, Schatten MUST NOT get anything other than his prescription diet, medication, and prescription treats. He has no other medical issues and as long as he's kept on only his diet and medication he is great! Schatten is vaccinated, wormed, neutered, heartworm negative and microchipped.
