About Pete

Meet Pete! This sweet boy is a 9yr old aussie/cattle mix who lost his home and ended up in the foster system. He is very laid back and has the best disposition. He loves kids and cats and dogs galore! He is housebroken and walks like a pro on a leash. Pete is currently finishing up heartworm treatment and will need a follow-up in 6 months. This boy is so amazingly loving and trusting. I give him his pills, no running away, no hiding them in cheese; he just takes them from my hand and eats them! We do pay 2nd round treatment if needed but must use Animal Hospital of Gurnee. Pete is 40lbs of honey and will need regular brushing to get his coat tamed. He has lived most of his life outdoors and has developed a thick coat. He LOVES being brushed and all the attention that comes with affection ?
