Hi everyone! My name is Koda short for Dakota. I'm a lab/heeler mix. I am a beautiful velvet black gentleman. I love to play!! I know my manners, but we have to practice everyday. I learn new tricks everyday. Im starting to learn to bring my foster mom garbage. I chew on it a little first. I need to go on long walks and runs and I need a best doggo friend that loves to play. Im too scared to ever be alone. I'm great with other dogs, but they are nervous about me at first. I'm really just a snuggly goofball that needs a family to wear me out. Well, we can wear each other out! I'm great with kids. But I've never met kids younger than 5, my mom thinks I'd be fine. I really love kids! I bark at new people and they are scared because I look intimidating. I just want to play and be loved on.%A0 Here's some stuff my foster family wants you to know: Koda is a very affectionate loving boy. And hes very affected by contention. He doesn't like yelling. If you are upset with him he won't mind. If he has to go in the crate I make sure to love on him and tell him it's not a punishment. He's very sensitive to how people are feeling. It's helped my kids be mindful of how they are acting. All he wants to do is play. I have to make him have naps and go to sleep in the crate at night. If the crate is near you its better. He really should have a dog partner. Koda requires a lot of attention. He would be a great dog for an active lifestyle. He gets easily bored. He does have some separation anxiety. He's been getting better with it. You can't leave food on counters. He needs toys and things to chew on. He is a big boy!%A0 He makes a great snuggler. We love Koda so much. Koda will make someone very happy.
