About Marlo

Marlo is 8 months old. We rescued him from Austin Human Society when he was only 6 weeks old. He's lived in a home with two small children and is a very loving and playful pup. He's 62.5% AmStaff, 12.5% German Shepherd 12.5% Laborer Retriever. Personality wise he's definitely anAmStaff, very loving and trains well. He loves to lay with you and will climb into your lap. He's been trained to not jump on people. He is an advent chewer and has a couple of bones and squeakers that he loves. He's been going to Banfield Animal Clinic, Heartworm free and up to date on all of his vaccinations. He will come with DNA paperwork from Wisdom 4.0, medical records from Banfield, information regarding his microchip (update owner contact info and address), and adoption paperwork. The animal shelter had him on HEBs Heritage Ranch puppy food, but we have since moved him over to Purina One adult for large breeds and he absolutely loves it! He has a harness and a leash and an easy walk, but still needs some work on that. He knows sit, stay, lay down, rollover, and shake. He loves to play fetch and tug of war. He is very treat motivated and loves Pupperoni. He's kennel trained and does well at going to the bathroom outside. He will sit at the door if he needs to go or paw your arm to get your attention if not by the back door. He only playfully barks and does well at dog parks. My husbands job is moving us to Abu Dhabi for 2 years and they have a strict ban on certain breeds. We won't be moving for a few months, but we would like Marlo to go to a great home that will continue showing him love. Our girls are very attached and explaining this to them has not been easy, but we all agree that finding another loving home for him is the best option.
