About Maggie

Maggie is a beautiful, incredibly sweet, talkative, loving and just a little chubby, 23.4-pound, nine-year-old, female front-declawed black cat, with a white spot on her chest, looking for a loving guardian. Maggie was adopted in February of 2010 from Chicago Animal Care and Control. She lived with a man she adored for eight years. The feeling was mutual and he fed her and fed her and fed her �'�| when he recently passed away, she came to live with me. It's taken some adjustment, because she's not fond of other felines, or canines. She is looking for a home as the one and only queen of her domain once again. She loves to roll in catnip, loves to have her belly rubbed. And, surprisingly, can catapult herself into cat trees and onto window ledges. She has a huge rumbly purr and is so incredibly loving. She is looking for someone who will help her slim down a bit and keep her healthy for the rest of her life. She came into rescue weighing 26.8 pounds and has lost over three pounds since April! That's about a pound a month. She is healthy spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and virus-tested negative. She just had bloodwork done and she is absolutely perfectly healthy. Her adoption fee of $125 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits.
