About Oreo

This gorgeous little cookie is Oreo and he really is scrumptious enough to eat! He's 8 weeks old and the sweetest, most playful little guy you will ever meet. He is a Black Cairn Terrier/Shih Tzu Mix and is expected to reach about 15 pounds as an adult. He was owner surrendered to us along with his parents and a sibling from a previous litter. He lives to kiss and cuddle with the occasional ear or nose nibble thrown in for good measure. He loves everybody he meets whether it is dog, cat or human. He is happy to play quietly by himself or romp around with other dogs. He has a lot of energy and like a toddler will have an energy spurt and then sleep where he drops for a while until he starts over again. He is an accomplished flip flop, slipper and sock thief and can often be seen carrying said items, which are all bigger than he is, off to one of the many beds in the house. He chews momentarily and then heads out to find another trophy to take to a different bed. He is endlessly entertaining and super smart. He already taught himself to use the dog door. He loves squeaky toys, chewy toys and likes to snuggle up with a teddy about the same size as he is when he sleeps at night. He is very disciplined using puppy pads in the house though occasionally his aim is a half inch over the outside. Always an 'A' for effort though! Currently we have 4 training pads around the main room and one in the bathroom. He visits all of them over the course of the day. He sleeps thru the night in a small puppy pen and doesn't wake up until somebody else does, usually the cat. Oreo has had two out of three of his puppy shots and his adoption fee includes the third set and his neuter, which will be scheduled as soon as he is old enough. He is also microchipped.
