Cilantro is a magnificent and incredibly sweet, two-year-old male Maine Coon-mix cat with lovely green eyes looking for a loving guardian. Cilantro wandered into the vegetable garden at the Scott Joplin Elementary School in Chicago. Luckily the feline-loving art teacher noticed him and brought him home when his original family could not be found. Cilantro is a solid cat of 11 pounds and has perfect litter box skills. He's not much of a player with toys, but will drool non-stop if given a catnip toy to roll around with. He loves belly rubs! He is a super snugly, cuddly lap cat. Cilantro gets along with other gentle-natured cats. He is FIV+ but this virus is only transmitted through deep bite wounds, so as long as the other cats are well-behaved, he will be too. He is very healthy, has all his claws, is up to date on rabies and distemper vaccines, neutered and micro-chipped. To meet and possibly adopt Cilantro, please contact his foster mom and rescuer Emmelin at [email protected] for an adoption application. His adoption fee of $95 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control. He is being fostered in Chicago.
