MEET RADISH | ADOPTION PENDING | SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ONLY | EMAIL: [email protected] --- UPDATE: 7/22/18 Radish has an adoption pending and is now in a Foster-To-Adopt (FTA) period with a potential adopter. During this period the adopter and dog have a chance to try each other out and make sure this is a perfect match. If things don't work out, the Dog will return to the rescue and be able to meet with other adopters. Otherwise, the adopter can finalize the adoption at the end of the FTA period or any time during, at which time our dog listing will be removed. Meanwhile, we are still accepting applications and encourage you to contact us as soon as possible if you are interested in giving this dog a loving home. --- Is this guy the cutest little morsel or what? Please meet our sweet, shy guy Radish! This petite 2-year old 10-pound pup with the amber colored coat has been blossoming so much in his foster home. He came from a sad puppyhood belonging to a hoarder, under socialized and terrified of the world. His bad luck continued after he arrived at the shelter, being adopted by two more irresponsible families (one who brought him home as a gift to kids for Christmas and returned him 6 days later). Our hearts broke when we heard of all that this poor baby went through and so young, and we're thrilled that we were able to help him with the aid of a wonderful foster family. Yay Radish! Our adorable boy has learned to chew on bones, play with toys, and romp around with the guidance and companionship of his doggie foster brother. He's also quickly picking up a few key cues: 'Walk,' 'ride,' and 'go potty.' Seeing these dogs come out of their shell and remember how to be a dog is one of the most rewarding parts of fostering! Radish also arrived with a number of natural talents. He sleeps through the night, hardly ever barks (not even at the gardener-monsters), and is content to hang in his kennel though he'd prefer to be out with his people. Walking with Radish is a pleasure - he'll just keep going, loose lead and right at your side. He sometimes gets nervous around others on the trail and will do best with slow, polite intros if any. Radish is also a natural car-rider and even cart rider. Yes, you can take him shopping and he'll quite happily ride along! Lil Radish prefers a smaller world, one he can experience at his own pace and comfort. He's still learning to trust people and gain confidence, but if you give him the patience he asks for, he's an absolute love bug. You'll be getting cuddles and kisses in no time. We'd like to see Radish in a quieter home with adults and a friendly, balanced doggie companion to play with and learn from. A yard would be nice but probably not necessary for our well mannered boy. He promises to fill your heart with joy and pride as he continues to mature and bloom. Let us know if you'd like to meet Radish and introduce him to his future fur bro or sis! --- TO VIEW MORE PHOTOS AND PUPDATES ON RADISH, PLEASE VISIT FACEBOOK AT: https://www.facebook.com/pg/waggingdogrescue/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1822048547819638
