About Lulu

Adoption Fee: 175
Bengal
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

This stunning little cat by the name of Lulu would love to be a lap cat and constant companion to someone who can provide a permanent, calm environment for her. She was born 2/6/2012, and is a purebred Brown Spotted Bengal. Aside from being unbelievable intelligent (she loves puzzles in order to get to her treats) and one of the most skillful fly and spider catchers her owner has ever encountered, she is also a great conversationalist. Lulu loves to be petted'|she'll happily purr and even drool. Lulu is happy sitting in a sunny window for a nap. She is happiest sitting in your lap while you watch TV or read a book. She is affectionate and will sleep with you if you let her. While she does love lots of attention and grooming, she is ok home alone if her owner needs to go to work, or spend a night or two away. Lulu can fetch a ball, and loves to chase a teaser. While she can be vocal at dinner time, when she is happy she isn't too talkative. If she is under stress she will vocalize more than normal though. Now you are probably asking: Why then is she up for adoption? Her owner contacted our rescue organization to help find a perfect permanent home for this gorgeous cat. She never thought she would be in a position to rehome a pet. Her believe is that when you get a pet it's a commitment for their lifetime. Her decision to rehome has not come easy at all. It comes down to one of the more common reason why some cats are better off in a different environment, despite our best efforts to make them happy and to make things work out. Initially they only had Lulu and another male Bengal. This male is already dominant towards Lulu. When they got a sweet-natured female dog who wants to play with the cats, Lulu doesn't see her advances the same way as the dog does. After their baby arrived and a move to a new home, they realized that the stress is just too much for this sensitive girl to handle. Our organization has helped rehome many Bengal cats. What draws people to this fascinating breed is the fact that aside from purely aesthetically reasons, these cats are known to be very intelligent, independent, highly trainable, interactive and inquisitive. What some people don't realize is that this breed is also often quite sensitive, especially so with female Bengals. The perfect home for this lovely feline is with someone who has experience with the Bengal breed and who understands that they need a very attentive, involved and experienced owner. Lulu in particular will thrive in an interactive, but also calm and stress-free environment. Her current owner thinks she would do best as an only cat, or perhaps partnered up with a mellow cat companion. Although she is ok with dogs, she doesn't want to interact with them. She may do well with older cat savvy children. Please note we do not ship cats.
