I NEED YOUR HELP...I rescued this dog off the Euth list at Stockton Animal Shelter with the hopes of saving her life and rehoming her. Thus far...I have worked with her so she can find her forever home...She was very reactionary when I first got her. She has come a long way...but still needs someone who can work with her and keep correcting her when she needs to be corrected. She is great with me, but reacts to new situation, new people and new animals. When I say react I mean lunges and tries to nip. I need an experienced person who can continue working with her so she doesn't end up back on the Euth list at the shelter. I am moving and CANNOT take her. I need an angel to come and take over the work that I have started. She has been in training for about 5 mos. I take her to pet stores where she sees people, other animals and new sounds. She has done quite well most of the time but still needs direction and someone who has had dogs before and can work with her consistently. She is great around me. It will just take some time getting used to another person. She is a Pekingese/Chi mix/5-6 yrs old/spayed with all shots. I have had her to 2 behaviorist to evaluate her. They said she is extremely smart and food driven (true) and that all her behavioral issues are 'learned' and therefore can be 'unlearned'...She has been unlearning many of these and has come a LONG way...but if I cannot find someone by Nov 15 her fate will be sealed as I will need to return her to the shelter where she will not pass the behavioral test and be put down. I have been trying and trying but no one wants to take on a dog that needs work...everyone wants that all so perfect dog...which this one will be if you just open your hearts and home to her. She is sweet with me, loving, loyal, obeys commands, doesn't chew, potty trained, good on walks...just still needs work on socialization skills. Best with NO other animals and with a calm environment. If you or someone you know can help out and either take her and work with her until she can be re-homed or become her forever home please let me know. Again, I am moving...have 3 other dogs...took this one in hoping to rehab her...and find her a forever home. Please network this I NEED YOUR HELP. AND SO DOES SHE.
