About Bailey

Bailey is a handsome, playful, blue eyed, 6 year old merlequin great dane. He is neutered and utd on vaccines. Bailey is deaf, but knows some sign language and has picked up quickly on what he does know. He is great with kids of all ages (we have kids ages 1-11), good with other big dogs (we have another great dane), and cats, just curious (we have a bunch of strays around our house and he has not taken off after any, just sniffs in their direction). Bailey is super sweet and just wants someone to love on him all the time! He cannot hear, so he will follow you around to see what is going on. He is great on a leash, doesn't pull a lot, and walks around the same pace as the person walking him. He is a great dane though, so when he doesn't want to move, he is tough to move. Bailey is 100% house trained, so no issues there! Bailey does have separation anxiety, but it is because he has been abandoned most of his life. We are working on his kennel training to see if that will help while we are out of the house, as of right now he does not do well when left alone in the house for more than an hour at a time. Bailey is a snuggle bug and loves laying in bed or on the couch with anyone who will lay with him! He is playful and loves tearing apart some stuffed and other toys. He shares a food and water bowl well, once or twice there was a low growl, but that may have started with our other dog. He has growled when we try to remove him from a seat he really doesn't want to leave, but is reactive towards anyone in any normal situation.
